The field of international mathematics education is experiencing unprecedented development, with its research community continuously growing and expanding. This domain is not only deepening its own research perspectives and theoretical frameworks but also actively incorporating new theories and research findings from different disciplines to enrich and improve its research content. This interdisciplinary integration has brought new perspectives and methods to mathematics education research, promoting a deeper understanding of mathematical thinking, reasoning, and learning processes.
The journal "Mathematical Thinking and Learning" was created against this backdrop, providing a platform for mathematics education researchers worldwide to communicate and share their work. The journal encourages researchers to explore various issues in mathematics education from diverse disciplinary perspectives, including but not limited to the understanding of mathematical concepts, strategies for solving mathematical problems, the construction of mathematical knowledge, and the socio-cultural context of mathematics education.
Furthermore, the journal pays special attention to innovative teaching methods and technological applications in mathematics education, such as using information technology to improve the efficiency and interest of learning mathematics, and stimulating students' interest in mathematics through gamified learning. By publishing cutting-edge research findings in these areas, the journal aims to promote the development of mathematics education, helping students to better master mathematical knowledge and cultivate their mathematical thinking abilities.
