Acta Linguistica Academica is an internationally peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing empirical linguistic research with a strong theoretical foundation. The journal is open to all branches of linguistics, emphasizing innovation and theoretical depth of research, and aims to promote academic development and knowledge advancement in the field of linguistics.

The research scope of the journal is broad, including not only the core areas of traditional linguistics, such as phonetics, grammar, semantics, and pragmatics, but also extends to emerging fields across disciplines. These fields include sociolinguistics, which explores the relationship of language to social structure and culture; Psycholinguistics, the study of the psychological mechanisms of language processing; Neurolinguistics, which focuses on how the brain processes linguistic information; Discourse analysis, analyzing the use of language in social interactions; Philosophy of language, exploring the relationship between language, thinking and reality; Language typology, comparing the structural features of different languages; And formal semantics, which uses logical and mathematical tools to analyze the meaning of language.
