Critical Studies In Television magazine is committed to the in-depth study and exploration of television as an independent discipline, and its published articles bring together the work of scholars and researchers from different disciplines and different ways of thinking. Special emphasis is placed on the research of television production, institutional history, audience acceptance, theoretical methods, conceptual paradigms and pedagogical issues, with the aim of promoting the overall development and progress of the television discipline.

The journal encourages an interdisciplinary approach to research and welcomes scholars from the fields of sociology, psychology, communication studies, cultural studies, and media studies to contribute their ideas and research results. This diverse research perspective helps to understand and analyze the social, cultural and psychological impact of television as a medium from different perspectives. The magazine also pays special attention to the forms and functions of television in different cultural and social contexts, exploring how television shapes and reflects social reality.
