Zeitschrift f ü r Historische Forschung is a German academic journal dedicated to late medieval and early modern history. This journal is the only specialized German language journal that focuses on late medieval and early modern history. In addition to articles, regular reports on current research and a detailed commentary section are also provided. This journal is dedicated to studying the "Old European Era" from the 12th century to the early 19th century, with the aim of thematic analysis of late medieval and early modern history as structural units. The journal aims to absorb theoretical insights from neighboring disciplines from the beginning, while applying methodological tools obtained from modern industrial society to the examination of pre modern phenomena.
