The interdisciplinary nature of Utilitas makes it a platform for scholars from different fields to exchange ideas, especially for those interested in moral philosophy, public policy, social choice theory, and legal ethics. This journal not only focuses on the historical development and contemporary interpretation of utilitarianism theory, but also on how utilitarianism affects practical moral decision-making, policy-making, and social practice.

The journal encourages in-depth analysis of utilitarian principles, including their application in personal moral choices, social welfare, resource allocation, and the definition of rights and obligations. In addition, the relationship between utilitarianism and other ethical theories, such as Kantian ethics, virtue ethics, etc., and how these theories complement or challenge each other were also explored. The readership includes moral philosophers, economists, political theorists, knowledge historians, legal theorists, as well as students and researchers interested in applied ethics. By publishing innovative and in-depth academic articles, this journal has made significant contributions to promoting discussions and research on utilitarianism and related ethical issues.
