Integrative Organismal Biology

The founding background of "Integrated Organic Biology" can be traced back to the continuous deepening of systematic and holistic research in biology. Since the 1970s, with the rise of general systems theory, especially the concept of "organic biology" proposed by Bertrand Russell, biological research has gradually shifted from a single discipline to the direction of interdisciplinary integration. As an important product of this trend, systems biology emphasizes a holistic understanding of the structure, function, and relationship between organisms and their environment, while integrated organic biology further refines this research field, focusing on comprehensive analysis and integrated research at the organism level.
