This interdisciplinary journal is based on the assumption that key issues related to spatial cognition and computation are located at the intersection of multiple disciplines, including cognitive psychology, cognitive science, mathematics and computer science, geography and mapping, animal behavior, neuropsychology, artificial intelligence, philosophy, and planning and architecture. In recent years, the desire of these communities to share insights and achievements has become increasingly strong. The purpose of this journal is to focus on the fundamental research of spatial cognition and computation, and to promote interdisciplinary dialogue.

The journal "Spatial Cognition and Computing" provides a platform for academic exchange among scholars worldwide through various forms of articles such as empirical research, literature reviews, and short book reviews. These research achievements not only promote the development of spatial cognition and computing fields, but also have a positive impact on other related fields such as artificial intelligence and robotics science.
